ABOUT THIS PIECE
This antique Japanese hanakago presents a well-balanced cylindrical form, where tightly woven upper bands contrast with a more open and expressive lower structure. This interplay creates both stability and a subtle sense of movement, giving the basket a quiet but distinctive presence.
