CULTURAL NOTE
IIn Japanese interiors, naturally shaped wood has long been appreciated for its expressive and sculptural qualities. Particularly during the Shōwa period, large root wood compositions became popular as decorative elements, valued for their ability to bring a sense of nature indoors.
